Jada Brown captured the Miss Tennessee Volunteer title on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, Tennessee. As Miss Tennessee Volunteer, Jada will serve as the Governor’s Official Spokesperson for Character Education and earned the opportunity to compete for the Miss Volunteer America crown. For her school tour, she will champion the character trait “Care.”
Championing the platform Beauty Within Our Hands, Jada is proud to educate everyone on American Sign Language. Jade won more than $10,000 in college scholarships, which she will use to further her education. She is currently pursuing her degree from Lane College in Jackson, TN.
Jada is a 21-year old college athlete. She is the team captain for the Lady Dragon’s Volleyball team at Lane College. Jada has made a difference on the Lane College with the many different organization she is involved in on campus.
Representing the service-oriented mission of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer program, Jada has logged hundreds of hours in service to organizations in and around Jackson. This includes volunteer hours at schools educating them about the importance of learning sign language.
In addition to her heart for service, Jade wowed the judges with her talent performance. Jada did her on version of “This is Me”. She signed the song and captivated the judges.
Jada will go on to compete at Miss Volunteer America in Jackson, Tennessee, on June 19-22, 2024.
Jada is humbled and honored to have the unique opportunity to represent Miss Tennessee Volunteer’s mission of scholarship, education, responsibility, volunteerism, and empowerment and serve as a mentor to thousands of students across Tennessee.
