Katherine West

Miss Iris Teen Tennessee Volunteer 2025

Katherine West was crowned Miss Iris Tennessee Teen Volunteer in Jackson, TN, at the state competition last July while representing Crockett County as Miss Tristar Iris Teen Volunteer. Miss West’s personal platform is “BLOOM” where she provides feminine products to young girls.
The products are placed in a cute, reusable zippered bag so girls aren’t embarrassed
when they need to go to their school office to get one. West hopes that girls can BLOOM by openly talking about their experiences. She enjoys speaking in schools, often as part of the state mandated health education courses, and telling her own story of blooming.  Since starting her platform she has delivered over 2,000 bags in just over forty schools.   West received the Crockett County Youth Governor’s Star Award for her volunteer efforts in February 2024.  She has serves as a Teen Of Impact for American Heart Association and as a member of the St. Jude Leadership Society.

West is a 17-year-old honors student from Bells, TN who will begin her senior year of high school in the fall. West intends to pursue a career in nursing and plans to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. West is an avid volleyball player and plays club volleyball with West TN Force and varsity volleyball for Crockett County High School (CCHS).  She is a member of the National Beta Club and a chapter officer of Health Occupation Service of America (HOSA). Katherine loves being active and spends her free time with her family and friends.  She enjoys staying active in the gym, running track, and doing her nails.
